About RG

Robin Gentlewolf, a.k.a. "RG", is a multiple award winning musician from Oregon who is an accomplished commercial recording artist/educator/performer. RG's style with the flute is very unique - a blend of indigenous embellishments and modern techniques with heartfelt expressions.  

RG is the lead flutist of Jan Michael Looking Wolf’s Band - NATIVE ROSE - that regularly performs at large venues across the country.

Drawing from her grandmother's teachings, RG shares a message of “be good to the earth and kind to each other” in her music and life. She also holds degrees and certifications in Metaphysical Sciences with decades of related practices. 

RG has won several awards for her recordings including 8 Global Music Awards (album, instrumentalist), 5 - Gold LIT Talent Awards, and the One World Music Award for Best Native American Music Album of the Year (with Jan Michael). In addition to performing and recording, RG frequently lectures at universities and schools with multi-media presentations of indigenous instruments.

RG continues to support global initiatives for the Native American Style Flute. She is the co-host of the internationally renowned show, "The Dreaming Flute" on One World Music Radio. RG works actively as a full time NAF Instructor at an international flute academy. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Looking Wolf One Heart Award Program.

RG assisted in the development of material for accredited university courses that focus on indigenous musical self-expression. As part of her path to support other flute players, she regularly instructs workshops and leads flute circles.

Informative, educational and fun event for Oregon elementary school students and other special occasions by Global Music Award Winning recording artist and instructor Robin Gentlewolf a.k.a. “RG”.
